Complete Home Improvement - frequently asked questions

Question 1

How much does a new roof cost in Michigan?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the size and pitch of the roof, the material, how many layers have to come off, and the condition of the decking underneath. We give a written estimate after an on-site inspection rather than a quote over the phone, because deck condition is not something anyone can judge from the ground.

Question 2

Do you offer free estimates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Inspection and a written estimate are free and carry no obligation, anywhere in our Michigan service area.

Question 3

Can you help with an insurance claim after storm damage?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We document the damage, provide the itemised scope your insurer needs, and can meet the adjuster at the property. Work is carried out against the approved claim rather than asking you to fund it up front.

Question 4

How long does a roof replacement take?

Accepted Answer

Most single-family homes are stripped and re-roofed in one to three days once materials are on site. Weather is the main variable in Michigan, and we will not open a roof up if the forecast does not allow closing it the same day.

Question 5

Which areas of Michigan do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We work across southern and western Michigan, including Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Flint and Ann Arbor, along with the surrounding communities.

Question 6

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We carry Michigan licensing and liability insurance along with workers compensation cover, and can provide current certificates before work starts.

Question 7

Do you handle repairs, or only full replacements?

Accepted Answer

Both. Many jobs are a repair - flashing, a section of shingles, a gutter run, a failed seal around a skylight - and we will say so when a repair is the right call rather than pushing a replacement.
